| 03/10/10 - Due to Verizon's recent payroll system upgrade members are reporting pay issues. The Union is aware of this issue. We recommend that you review your paystub this week and upcoming weeks to verify correct pay. Be sure to report any errors to your immediate supervisor. |
Verizon Declares Surplus... Local 1118 has been notified by the National Union that Verizon New York, Verizon Corporate Services Corp. and Verizon Services Corp.(collectively "the Company") are declaring a surplus condition in 39 titles within Force Adjustment Areas (FAAs) 1-6. This surplus condition has been determined by the Company to be a process change.
At this point in time the Company has requested to meet with the Vice President regarding discussions around the offer. No date has been set. If the surplus condition requires the use of the EIPP, offers will be tendered to those employees in the surplus titles on a date to be determined.
Local 1118 is part of FAA 4. The total for FAA 4 is 223. The grand total for all FAA's 1-6 is 3938 members. The link above shows a breakdown of the surplus numbers by FAA.
